Crime Of The Century

After the readings and evaluating my personal feelings on a scale from 1 to 10 this is what I have found. I would rate my (A) physical well being at a 6, I recently went through a rough pregnancy with a lot of lying down due to blood pressure problems. So I have some work to do to get my health back on track. I rate my (B) spiritual well being at a 8 I feel I am working harder at my spiritual well being than any other. Now my (C) psychological well being I would rate at a 7 I am working on getting myself back again after the rough pregnancy it has took a toll on my whole well being so I am working on A, B and C.

My goal for my physical well being is to walk for an hour three times a week until it is easy. My goal for spiritual well being is to meditate everyday instead of twice a week. My goal for my psychological well being would be to stop when I get frustrated think to myself “why am I frustrated” I guess kind of talk myself out of the problem at hand. Telling myself it is not worth the effort it will take to get mad, that I can find something better to give my time too. I will set alarms on my phone to remind me when I am supposed to do each of these goals. Making sure I take time for my family and myself so I can heal while not feel guilty for not giving my family the time they need.

The Crime of the Century
This exercise was a little hard to do today but I did it even though my little girl was crying and my nine year old was home for spring break. I relaxed pretty easy and the colors were a little hard to imagine but I did pretty good for my first try. By the time I got to the window in the top of my head I was truly relaxed  and wished I could have went ahead and went to sleep, I am sleep deprived with this new baby. All in all I was happy with the way I felt I was quite refreshed and ready to get to writing.

  1. Congrats on being a new mom! I think coming back to an optimal state of health after having a baby is a very big challenge but I believe you can do it. You are on the right track already. Doing more cardio, instead of only walking, will help you lose weight much more quickly. Even if you just do interval training, walking for three min, jogging for one, you will see the difference. This is if you are physically ready for it. Also you should try adding some light weights to increase muscle and burn fat.I too, need to work on my spirituality and mental health. Its so hard to balance all three! You are so right when you said that we should remind ourselves to not get mad or frustrated so easily! Have a great week.

Thank you so much for your kind and inspiring words I really need them. I am going to try the walking for three/running for one that sounds like something I could handle. :)
      Good luck in class,

  2. Stacia,

Rebuilding your body after having a baby is a big challenge. It takes time to build your mental and physical body to wellness. Your body needs sleep with new born and your body needs rest with a newborn. So stop to take care of you and your children. I know it is a hard time in life but you will enjoy all of it someday.

  3. Stacia,

Great job on this post. Walking will definitely get you back on the right track. Walking is good for healing the body and the mind. I love to walk, especially now that it is nice out. Meditation is also the key to having a relaxing life. You can meditate anywhere. You do not need a specific spot in your house. You can meditate in traffic after leaving work. You only need about 5 minutes a day to meditate. Meditating before you go to sleep is usually the best. It releases the stress from the day, and lets you have pleasant dreams and stable sleep. I often ask myself why I get mad so easily. Sometimes I actually laugh at myself, but yes I do ask myself the same question to myself. Good luck.

    1. Nancy I to believe meditating helps me sleep better and try to do it often. Have you ever been so upset you could not meditate? Just wondering if I am the only one.

    2. Hi Stacia,

Congrats on being a new Mom! I hope that you are able to start sleeping a little bit better every night. The exercise goal and the meditation goal that you set for yourself should help quite a bit. I find that I always seem to feel less stressed about things and am able to rest better when I exercise and meditate.

We both rated ourselves about the same in each category, so we must be somewhat on the same page!

  4. Hello Stacy

As women one thing I know for sure we a great multi-taskers. God created us that way, in my opinion because of the awesome amount of responsiblity we would have on our earthly journey. Keep you head up and stay focus on your goals and you will accomplish all that you set your hand to do. Be encourage. Congratulation on the new addition to your family.
